How Satan Works and Operates
Most Christians do not recognize how Satan can attack them. Most Christians do not even know when they are being attacked by Satan. Jesus himself listed 5 methods in which Satan uses to kill, steal, and destroy Christian’s happiness, joy, and peace of mind. Consider this, Satan can attack you and you would never know it.
In Mark chapter 4 verses 14 to 20, Jesus describes the five methods Satan uses to attack Christians. Hear the Word of God.
Persecution comes from your loved ones, from your unsaved friends, and from other Christians. Here is where Satan uses your own family members and your loved ones to persecute you about your belief and trust in God.
Satan loves to use your unsaved friends to harass and tempt you to do evil and stop trusting the Lord.
Satan even uses other Christians to mock you, tell you how the Word of God does not work. They will try to make you feel guilty and trouble you about your trust and walk with the Lord.
Affliction is
oppression of the mind in terms of fear and worry,
oppression of the body in terms of sickness and disease, and
oppression of your loved ones.
Cares of the world gets you to become weary and faint in your mind, gets you to loose confidence in God who is in control of everything, and gets you to take the cares of the world by having you lean to your own understanding, reason, and experiences instead of trusting in the Lord with all your heart. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Lust of other things cause you to have an overwhelming desire or craving to possess things, cause you to get your eyes off of Jesus Christ and onto things, all of which cause you to be carnally minded, which leads to death.
Deceitfulness of riches cause you to look to the world’s way of getting more money, cause you to take a second and third job and put your spouse to work to get more, and cause you to stop sowing into the gospel and rob God. Gets you to become weary and faint in your mind so you will give up your desires.
Now that we know how Satan works and operates, you can put him on the run instead of running from him. Begin each morning as Jesus says in Matthew 6:33, by seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then all these things that the world seeks will be yours.
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15).
