Life and Life more Abundantly
1. Christ gives life and life more abundantly
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10)
2. He that drinketh of the water Christ gives shall never thirst
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14).
3. He shall have the light of life
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (John 8:12).
4. He shall have part in the resurrection of life
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).
5. He shall receive an hundred-fold in this life
Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life (Mark 10:29-30).
6. He shall eat of the tree of life
To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God (Revelation 2:7).
7. Though dead, yet shall he live
I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25).
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15).
