Getting Back on Course Once Again
Have you ever felt that there has got to be more to the Christian life than what you have been exposed to. Do you want the God of your salvation to do great and mighty works in your life ASAP but wonder how? You know what I mean. Days go by, weeks go by, then months, and then another year ends with more time wasted wondering. This can be extremely frustrating, and over a long period of time discouraging to the point where you simply are wore down mentally and physically. You end up constantly feeling absolutely defeated all the time which robs you of peace and joy. Many hope to find this peace in their church but still walk away with little to no help at all while others search outside the church and finding nothing.
The truth is, as a child of God you do not have to live or feel this way at all any time in your Christian walk if you choose. So what happened? The truth is, you got distracted from serving the Lord by the things of the world, the cares of the world, and the lusts of the flesh. The truth is, you took your eyes off Jesus and you are either sinking or sunk. The truth is, you simply stopped trying to live for God and now you just do not know how to get back on track for the Lord and you need help. The truth is, when you accepted Jesus into your life you were excited and loved Him with all of your heart and wanted to follow and serve Him but now you feel lost. So what Now?
The Bible says that Satan is the god of this world and he uses the cares of the world, and the lusts for other things as tools to chock the word of God in your life to get you to stop having a relationship with God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Satan is the god of this world who deceives the minds of believers if they listen to him. Many do listen, but the Bible also says in John 8:32, that you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Chances are, you had a strong urge at one time to do something for the Lord before getting derailed from doing so. But, rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Serve the Lord with joy and gladness. Rejoice in the Lord always!
The truth is, you do not have to feel bad because nothing shall separate you from the Love of God (Rom 8:38-39). It is never too late. Jesus loves you and is standing at the door knocking on your heart and waiting for your response. It is now time for you to draw nigh unto God, He promises to draw near to you when draw near to Him (James 4:8).
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15).
