EloHim

Elohim means God the Creator, Sovereign God, and God of Eternity. God’s creation of the world is recorded in the first chapter of Genesis which ends on the seventh day, the day of rest to take pleasure in the beauty of his artistry.

1.   The 1st Day –
God created light and divided it from the darkness, creating day and night.

2.   The 2nd Day –
God divided the waters above from the waters below, creating the heaven and oceans.

3.   The 3rd Day –
God gathered the waters, creating dry land and seas. He created vegetation yielding seed to reproduce itself.

4.   The 4th Day –
God created the sun, moon, and stars as lights in the heaven to rule day and night on the earth.

5.   The 5th Day –
God created birds and fish multiplying after their kind to fill the heaven and seas.

6.   The 6th Day –
God created animals multiplying after their kind to fill the dry land. God created man and woman in his image to be companions, to multiply, and to have dominion over the earth.

7.   The 7th Day –
God rested with a satisfaction in the goodness of His creation. He blessed the seventh day and asks us to join in His rest.

The Apostle Paul said of Jesus Christ, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers – all things were created by Him and for Him.” Colossian 1:15-16

Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15).
