Promises of the Work of the Holy Spirit
1. Holy Spirit will reprove world of Sin, Righteousness, and Judgment
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of Judgment (John 16:8).
2. Holy Spirit – Source of the New Birth
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit (John 3:8).
3. Shall Quicken the Believer
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).
4. Shall Testify of Christ
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me (John 15:26).
5. Shall Teach All Things
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).
6. Shall Guide into All Truth
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).
7. Shall Give Power to Witness
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Act 1:8).
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15).
