Foreordained
1. The Father’s call
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out (John 6:37).
2. Christ chooses and ordains
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you (John 15:16).
3. Predestinated positions in the world to come
Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to then for whom it is prepared by my Father (Matt 20:23).
4. Divine protection for the Elect
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened (Matt 24:22).
5. The Angels gather God’s Elect
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (Matt 24:31).
6. Divine avenging of the Elect
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? (Luke 18:7).
7. Kingdom prepared from the foundation of the World
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world (Matt 25:34).
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15).
