Signs of the Coming of Christ
1. Sign of the days of Noah
And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all (Luke 17:26-27).
2. Sign of the days of Lot
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fired and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all (Luke 17:28-29).
3. Sign of world evangelization
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matt 24:14).
4. Sign of the budding fig tree - the Jews return to the Holy Land
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand (Luke 21:24, 29, 30).
5. Sign of the generation which shall see these things begin
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away (Matt 24:33-35).
6. The sign of distress of nations
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring (Luke 21:25).
7. The sign of fear and the shaking of the powers of the heavens
Men’s heart failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken (Luke 21:26).
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15).
