The Father and the Son
1. No man comes to the Father but by the Son
I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him (John 11: 6-7).
2. He that hath seen the Son hath seen the Father
Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Phillip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? (John 14:9).
3. The Father is greater than the Son
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I (John 14:28).
4. The Son works that the world may know the Son loves the Father
But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence (John 14:31).
5. All things of the Father are also the Son’s
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you (John 16:15).
6. The Son speaks plainly of the Father
These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father (John 16:25).
7. The Son is not alone because the Father is with Him
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone because the Father is with me (John 16:32).
Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (I Timothy 4:15).
